QNX + all Android OS on BlackBerry PlayBook [VIDEO]

BlackBerry PlayBook since it got launched, media were criticizing it by many ways also by carrying lack of apps. Retail stores started giving out for good sale or with exciting offers for it to sell. Most of the people who already owned a BlackBerry Tablet know its potential and are patiently waiting for RIM to start showing what really BlackBerry PlayBook could do. Recently, RIM released Native Development Kit (NDK) and much more on Devcon 2011 (highlights here) for BlackBerry PlayBook where developers started launching more apps towards BlackBerry Tablet.

BlackBerry Abusers and developers gone really busy since BlackBerry Tablet OS 2.0 was pushed to developers with Android apps capability at Devcon Americas 2011. Developers are doing their thing by porting apps to BlackBerry PlayBook by simple clicks and on the other hand, BlackBerry Abusers are busy taking down the Android apps (APK files) converting by themselves to run on BlackBerry PlayBook (BAR files). My PlayBook is now loaded with 28 Android apps working well but with camera, microphone, GPS, etc. limitations. Keep in mind, this BlackBerry Tablet OS 2.0.0.3778 is only for developers, many features might be unavailable. So, no complaints.

With 28 Android apps, Abusers at CrackBerry.com forums also had converted full Android OS Gingerbread, Honeycomb and Ice-cream Sandwich 2.4 to work on BlackBerry PlayBook! Watch the video below running Android Honeycomb.

    Wow this def blows any tablet out of the water, the PlayBook is truly amazing! I can’t wait till OS 2.0 comes out. Hopefully they add Native Email, Native BBM, UBS hosting, auto spell, auto punctuation, file manager, Bluetooth A2DP support, etc…

    Hello All,

    I need help with my playbook device. I updated to 2.0 and tried to install the honeycomb 2.4 which went fine then as i launched it it worked for a few seconds and crashed i have tried everything to get it working but no availability please can anyone provide a step by step process on install Android and honeycomb onto the blackberry playbook please!!!

    Once Ice Cream Sandwich is loaded, is it possible to install any apps in Ice Cream Sandwich like a normal android tablet using the Android market?

      unless someone make a BAR for Andoird market, i don’t think so. But yes app world on playbook will have all android apps within once ported
