Quick Look at the Amazing Volume Overlay & Media Format Support on BlackBerry 10

Published: 170 days ago 0 Comment

Ronen at Berryreview digs into the latest BlackBerry Developer tools documents last night and found some great stuff that have never been shared/confirmed earlier. The image above was found detailing music player functions & the player looks very neat with nominal buttons all around. But the main focus here is the middle pop-up box which actually is a mini media navigator box appearing when you play around with those hardware volume rocker keys. For instance, if you are browsing web, chatting on BBM, reading a book etc. while listening to music, on BlackBerry 10 you can skip tracks more intuitively without loosing the pace of your content.

The other find is a confirmation of media file format support on Blackberry 10 & as you can see, they’re hardly any left out. Even highly compressed format like MKV is also supported natively so you don’t need any 3rd party app to play your favorite media. These are some tiny yet extremely important areas to judge the level of perfection & RIM is covering them all in BlackBerry 10. Just 61 days to go ;)
