4 Types of BlackBerry Z10 Models. Which One Fits You Better?

BlackBerry Z10 is the latest flagship smartphone from BlackBerry which is by far the best system operated smartphone in the market. The phone is now available in almost every continent connecting several hundreds of countries. In respect to keep you moving, BlackBerry has developed 4 different variants of BlackBerry Z10 serving the best for you. These models differentiate in network banding which helps users to get the most of local wireless network. In India, we get STL100-1.

Model STL100-1 Networks:

  • 21Mbps HSPA+
  • Quad-Band HSPA+ 1, 2, 5/6, 8 (850/900/1900/2100 MHz)
  • Quad Band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

These bands matches perfectly with our local wireless mobile networks. Though we still face huge problems with 3G fluctuations, the phone manages to hold HSPA+ reception pretty well. The following models are fit for countries with 4G networks. We request to go through the specs before buying a Z10 from abroad.

Model STL100-002 Networks:

  • Quad Band LTE 3, 7, 8, 20 (1800/2600/900/700 MHz)
  • Tri Band HSPA+ 1, 5/6, 8 (2100/850/900 MHz)
  • Quad Band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

Model STL100-003 Networks:

  • Quad Band LTE 2, 5, 4, 17 (700/850/1900/1700 MHz)
  • Tri Band HSPA+ 1, 2, 5/6 (2100/850/1900 MHz)
  • Quad Band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

Model STL-004 Networks:

  • LTE Band-13 (700MHz)
  • CDMA Cell-Band and PCS Band (850/1900 MHz)
  • WCDMA Band-1 and Band-8 (2100/900 MHz)
  • GSM/EDGE Quad Bands (850/900/1900/1800 MHz)

    I have purchased Z10 from UAE (Dubai). Will the Phone work Perfectly in India. I have purchased it considering the future option that 4G Services will be Launched in India. What is the difference between Z10 Model from UAE and those in India. Please Advice. Thank you.

    i have a STL-100-2 and will it work fine in india or should i exchange it for a stl-100-1???

    i had problems with my bbm, it tries to sent the message but cant send it . i have to reset the data connection again and it starts to work fine for the nect couple of hours . is it because of the STL-100-2 model ? if so please confirm so that i can exchange for an STL-100-1

      it’s better to exchange if possible. OS updates rolled out by indian carriers are just for 100-1

      I doubt if this is the problem with the model. Since all model support Quad Band EDGE in the phones. The Only difference is the 4G LTE support which the STL100-1 does hot have but instead it supports HSPA+ Networks. Please check if you are on the EDGE or 3G Network. In India the standard GSM Network is India 900/1800 & 3G 2100. This is supported by STL100-2 Model as well. So I don’t think this should be a problem with the BBM not working. Should be something else . Please checkup with the Service Provider.

    Model STL100-003 Networks, has two sub-models: -

    STL100-3 RFK121LW model:
    GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
    HSDPA 800 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
    LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900

    STL100-3 RFF91LW model:
    GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
    HSDPA 800 / 850 / 1900 / 2100
    LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900

    I am wondering what freq bands do the saudi companies use for 2G,3G and 4G

      I you want to buy Z10 4G LTE, then check out this site http://www.jadopado.com. Tey are good and have swift service. Based on the stock, they can deliver the same day in UAE if you order before 3PM. Very nice and prompt service. I got my phone through them. nice Guys.

    But tell me is it genuine ? and Hwbt its warranty ?…
    just went to GITEX now and was told by the blackBerry team officials that they cannot gurantee the ones bought via online….
    Really confused…

    Same problem here…I’m using a telus canada unlocked STL-003 Z10 and not receiving the 10.1 update…using a vodafone india sim. Anybody facing the same issue? Any solution?
