Airtel Prepaid server jammed, over 80,000 customers offline

In Mumbai, more than 80,000 prepaid customers were off from BlackBerry Services due to unexpected load of new subscription to the new attractive plan (Rs. 399) introduced recently from Airtel and Vodafone. The prepaid customers had to wait for atleast 10 days from the date they sent the request to activate their BlackBerry service because there were about 80,000 requests pending only from Airtel Mumbai in prepaid department.

BlackBerry India market is insanely growing and it will surely disappoint many Crackberrys if the government would have banned the BlackBerry services.

There are more than 635 million mobile phone subscribers in India, second only to China.
