NOTE: All carriers upgraded Web-kit Service Books, but BSNL. Use Backup Service Books from your previous BlackBerry by activating ‘Legacy SB Restore’ .
Goto Options > Advanced Options > Service Books > Type by holding the alt key SBEB. “Legacy SB Restore Enabled” dialog box should pop-up. After this step, backup your Service Book and restore it on your new BlackBerry Torch.

Research In Motion (RIM) unveils BlackBerry Torch 9800 Smartphone in India today at the event held in Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The dual compatible touch & keypad BlackBerry is all set to hit stores with a price tag of Rs. 33,990.

BlackBerry Torch sports a 3.2-inch 480 x 360 HVGA touchscreen display with no typical BlackBerry Sure-press technology as seen on Storm devices. This will be RIM’s first capacitive touchscreen & slider smartphone which releases qwerty keypad. The keypad applied is similar to Bold 9700 but more thinner yet motivating. This phone holds a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash & has a built-in memory of 4gb(expandable upto 32gb). An extra 4gb microSD card is included with the device.
Torch 9800 also comes with the new BackBerry OS 6 pre-installed on device. The highly acclaimed OS6 upgrades browsing experience with new Webkit Browser, which is also used by other modern smartphones & is HTML5 supported. Apart from browser, the new OS robust messaging capabilities, as well as easy management of social networking and RSS feeds including quick-access to social applications like BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter etc. New media player, new overview with pinch zoom-in zoom-out; all this and much more with the new OS6.
