Ay, Caramba! The new BlackBerry Bold is here in India right after 13 days from its first release on TELUS & Rogers, Canada. Great news for us that RIM releases their devices soon in India, previous quick releases were BlackBerry Curve 3G & BlackBerry Torch.
Yesterday, we shared the dummy piece of BlackBerry 9780 in stores and very next day i.e., today the advertisement flashed the BlackBerry 9780 in newspapers.

yes i am sure that its warranty (made two of my frnds buy it) .. i got my 9780 for 25000rs but thats a different story altogether .. i can get u one for 26000rs for sure .. but that is if u stay in hyd 🙂

Seems like you know a dealer pretty well that you are getting such deals. I guess the price for 9700 has fallen cause when I went to buy mine they said all the pieces in the market come with 18 months warranty and they cost more than the ones that came with the 12 months warranty.
Btw the 9780 you got for 25K, did you get it with warranty?
Was also wondering if you could ask your dealer whether he would exchange my 9700 (7 days old with bill, and box and everything) with the new 9780 and how much extra would I have to bear?

Would you advice buying BB9780 or BB9650 and why?
I was thinking more of BB9650 as it is said to be a phone with world phone capabilities and can you it anywhere on all the networks.
Is it good for India and will it give good 3G speeds?
Every unlocked phone is a world phone & will run 3G if device support 3G. Bold 3 9780 is the best BlackBerry device till date. Few comparison points:
– better camera 5mp
– faster processor 623mhz
– much better looking rear side
Will not having support for CDMA / EV-DO on Bold 9780 as compared to Bold 9650 make much of a difference?
And what would you recommend me to buy: 9780 or 9650 and why?
9780 is just released as GSM & of course i’d recommend 9780
