    I bought the phone a few months back and am using it on airtel network in bangalore. I bought the phone from a retailer and took airtel connection later on. The phone is not from Airtel. I wanted to know if i can upgrade the software of my phone after downloading it from the above link. If yes then are there any precautions that i need to take and what is the process of updating the software after downloading the file.

    I am a new blackberry user, in your opinion is it worthwhile to upgrade the software. I am using curve 3G with the pre-loaded software,( version 5.0.0.832, Bundle 1399, platform 6.3.0.31).
