For all the Facebook fans, who were anxiously waiting for the official v2.0 launch which was resting in Beta Zone is now officially announced and also available in India. It took a while to show up in App World in India, if you still don’t see the update download it from OTA mentioned below.
Note: The Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones v2.0 app is available for users running BlackBerry® Device Software v5.0 and up.
There is 5 main changes RIM brought into this Facebook v2.0 –
1. Brand New User Interface: RIM trashed the old design and started all over again with brand new design of the Facebook app and looks much better.
2. Facebook Chat: The most required feature that many users would like to have rather than spending money on 3rd party Facebook chat app.
3. Improved News Feed
4. Enhanced Profiles: Now provides Wall, Info, Photos tabs which also reaches the ability to check contact info, basic info like birthdays, hometown and relationship status, and likes and interests.
5. Core Integration with your BlackBerry smartphone: Now you can share the news feed via Email, PIN, BBM contact, BBM Group, SMS, etc.
