Updated Tablet OS let you use BlackBerry Data for its apps. No tether?

Today, the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ owners received the Tablet OS update to 1.0.7.2942 and BlackBerry® Bridge app for Smartphones too.

BlackBerry® PlayBook OS update changelog mentioned by RIM:

• Improved Wi-Fi® connectivity to WEP networks
• Faster pairing between a BlackBerry smartphone and BlackBerry PlayBook tablet via the BlackBerry® Bridge™ app, and faster attachment opening via BlackBerry Bridge.

As we were using our BlackBerry® PlayBook on the go, bridging BlackBerry® Smartphone on BlackBerry® PlayBook as they improved the pairing speed and performance, we noticed Flash and AIR also got updated and importantly noticed that only Bridging makes your BlackBerry® PlayBook snatch data from your BlackBerry® Smartphone towards it to use it for apps like Facebook for PlayBook, Blaq, BlackBerry® News, etc.

Before we normally had to Internet Tether our BlackBerry® Smartphone to the BlackBerry® PlayBook to use data for apps but this time it got smarter. Will AT&T in US block the Brdige app as they blocked Tethering?

It all happens with this new Internet Transport (shown in image below)?

When BlackBerry® Smartphone bridged to BlackBerry® PlayBook you will notice under About>Network a new transport is added, ‘bb0’. Hoping that making BlackBerry® Bridge smarter.
