Skype has been an American Dream for some #TeamBlackBerry since the app brought video calling service on mobiles back in 2009. Unfortunately, lack of front face camera on past Blackberry smartphones never attracted Skype to port app to the platform. But things are changing with upcoming Blackberry 10! With featuring HD front face camera on BlackBerry 10 smartphones, RIM not just bringing Skype but also taking a step further to integrate BBM Video chat within the native messenger. Here are some pictures extracted by our sources to confirm the presence of Skype in upcoming Blackberry 10 OS on smartphones & BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Though we’re still finding out whether this be a fully featured app or just another text messenger.

Game changer post. Go thorsten heins go …..
Great to hear. But again and again my only concern is the pricing which BB always falters. presently the market leader Samsung has priced its top notch product of Note II and S3 for a price at around Rs.35000/- without any carrier dependence. Even a GPRS connection of 2G works superbly and thus cutting down substantial cost. In a sense both product and month on usage cost is very cheap. This attracts even a middle class background person is in a position to afford. And above all, whether one like it or not,Android has got some real wonderful user experience because of its Apps segment. One can enjoy all the world of entertainment by downloading even recent hollywood flicks with HD quality and some serious official work by browsing, mailing etc at a very very affordable pricing. The recent Nokia Lumia 920 will have not many takers precisely for its highly over prized vis a vis with any higher end mobile. If BB wants to really mark on Indian soil it must come out with pricing strategy and lure many youngsters rather than sticking to its old, redundant corporate sector. Hope BB will surprise us.
Shahriyar, it’s 2013.. If Skype is not available on this platform.. That means Skype is slow in development. Today Skype should actually be the one advertising that they are available on yet another platform right?
