BlackBerry Appoints Sunil Lalvani as Managing Director for India

Great news just dropped in from BlackBerry. Recently there Sunil Dutt was dropped from BlackBerry and Rick Costanzo took over temporarily.

BlackBerry® today announced the appointment of Mr. Sunil Lalvani as Managing Director for India. With the appointment, Mr. Lalvani will be responsible for overseeing and driving the overall business strategy and growth for BlackBerry in India

Sunil Lalvani is an industry veteran with over 20 years of extensive experience in the telecom sales and networking sector. Sunil had been with BlackBerry since 2009, spearheading Enterprise Sales in India prior to his appointment as Managing Director.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Sunil Lalvani said, “BlackBerry is driving the adoption of its next generation of mobile computing platform with BlackBerry 10, and India is a key market for growth of the powerful platform.  As I take up this new role, our focus will be to drive differentiated solutions for consumers and enterprise customers in India, providing a unique mobility experience that harnesses the full range of the BlackBerry offering.”

Prior to joining BlackBerry in 2009, Sunil worked at various senior level positions with leading IT companies including Cisco, Nokia, SITA-Equant, and Global Telesystems in networking and telecom sales to enterprise customers in India.

  1. I am thinking of changing my name to sunil because BlackBerry is showing great love for this name because the previous managing directors name was also sunil…BlackBerry here i come with my changed name please appoint me

    I am loyal customer of Black Berry from last 20 years.

    Though now many new mobile companies come up in market I am still used Blackberry , even I suggest all my colleagues, friends to buy Blackberry.

    I purchased Blackberry Z10 – Pin: 2BA1F65F from Lot Mobiles Pvt ltd – Hyderabad Inv NO SI/MPT2/373 Dated 26/04/1970.

    This handset giving me continuously problem – Phone Hanging, Display Vanish, Very less battery , Handset always very hot.

    I had given 2 times to blackberry service centre – Redigton India for repair .

    They told me software problem and after software backup 2 times still get all above problem.

    Please see in to genuine problem , so that we can keep faith in Blackberry.

    I have submits my handset at your service center on dated 10th July for hand set was not turning on ,on 14th July I came to know that software is not getting upgraded we have to send the set to gurgan office . And on 14th July I got the manual job sheet number 2338.

    On 23rd July I received a sms with a new job sheet number 8031013692

    I visited at your service center many times, and get reply next week I will get my set.

    Today is september 22, 2014 I didn’t received my hand set.

    “”””” I am very much regret to say about the brand of blackberry which I am using from past eight years and where I never faced the problem. This is the first time when I experienced such a bad experience form the brand BLACKBERRY.

    In today Market there are many other brand in market but a word call RELATION with a brand is bigger. And I purchase my new set BLACKBERRY Z10.
    I wish the eight years relation with BLACKBERRY made me passions to wait till more than one month , but now at last I feel like to mail you my pain “”””””””

I had brought blackberry Z10 mobile on 02.07.2014 within a 2 month ie on 23.08.2014 suddenly the display of my phone had stop working than so my moblie.So on 24.08.2014 I gave it to the service center at Redington Indore (official service center of blackberry in my city).They had called me on 27.08.2014 and told me that my display and OS had some problem even they don’t understand the actual problem.So they suggested me to replace it and told me that replacement procedure take maximum 1 month but till dated 23.09.2014 my phone is not get replaced by blackberry, please tell the exact time duration when you are going to deliver me new handset. Because since last one month I don’t have a mobile phone, due to which I am facing personal and financial loss.

    My request to you is that either you deliver my new handset with in a 3 days or you should return me the amount of money that i had paid for my blackberry mobile phone.

    I have purchased Blackberry Q5 as on 9 Jan 2015. From Last 4 days getting issue with handset.

    Mobile is getting switch off automatically.

I have purchased Blackberry Q10 as on September 2014, last month (June 2015) I started facing problem as in key “F” & “C” were unable to function, however we visited the service center and 15 after submitting the phone there was no response from BB, after following and making hundred calls, one of the engineer showedup and when we inquired about the status, he replied that now BB has changed the keys format, he dint had a regret to utter those words, now you have to manage if you type key “Z” letter “Y” will appear viz a versa if you type “Y” key “Z” will appear, he was so proud to say that now its not our problem, he made us feel that you are a FOOL to buy BB in todays market wherin Samsung & iPhone has killed BB, I am loyal customer of BB, to add more I am using BB device since EIGHT YEARS.
    Such kind of treatment was never expected from Black Berry.
    Kind request to guide me and let me know what should moreover who will help us.
