BlackBerry shows BBM on desktop

The exciting conference BlackBerry Jam Asia 2013 started up with exciting stuff! We’ve heard a lot about BBM for all now but it has always appeared on iOS & Android smartphones. Today in Hong Kong the officials gave a first look of BBM on desktop & it’s slick! Technically, the messenger isn’t a standalone program running but is a mirror of your smartphone on a bigger screen. Sounds like BBM for PlayBook via Bridge? It’s very much similar but this works over WiFi with all flow phenomena. The demo went pretty good and was as instant communication we find over BBM including file attachments from desktop PC. No word on its release date but hey devs! You got some cool stuff to amaze those consumers with these new SDKs 😉
