In line with Delhi’s state assembly elections, BlackBerry has launched a one day campaign to encourage its users to go out and vote. As a part of its call to action, BlackBerry will send out a SMS blast to its installed base of BlackBerry OS users in Delhi, today encouraging them to cast their vote. Users stand to gain a BlackBerry t-shirt by simply responding to the SMS.
The CTA will then send back the retail store list from where they can claim their t-shirts. Thereafter, customers can walk into the stores from 4th to 8th December, 2013, with the SMS that would qualify their profile and allow them to claim their merchandize. At the store, the winners would also be given a BlackBerry 10 demo to encourage them to upgrade to BlackBerry 10 OS.
Commenting on the initiative Mr. Ashish Gupta, Director Marketing India, said, “This is perhaps one of the most anticipated elections in India in recent times, considering that a lot of young people are coming out in full force to vote and carve a future with the power they hold in their hands. At times like this, it becomes important for brands like us to do our bit.”
