Bollywood was once filled with BlackBerry smartphones before iPhone came in and literally swapped the whole Indian movie industry. But it looks like the big stars are hopping back for the love of QWERTY and its reliable security.
Salman Khan, the Bhai (Big Brother) of Bollywood has always been a long term BlackBerry user. He also endorsed BlackBerry PlayBook which unfortunately was a fail product despite of being one powerful tablet. The actor had switched to Apple’s iPhone like many others but according to the latest report, he bought the new BlackBerry Classic to keep him productive on sets. Like any other actor, Salman Khan doesn’t get time to sit on computer to complete his crucial tasks and we all know how iPhone sucks when it comes to productivity.
On the other hand, another Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor is heavily addicted to BBM and is more active on it than any other messenger, including the silly Whatsapp which lacks security and privacy as it needs her phone number to register.
After some nasty incidents on iPhone last year, celebrities around the world finally learned the importance of security and privacy on smartphones. We hope every smartphone user get serious for the same before getting pinned down by hackers and whining later.
