The rumors of Android OS running on BlackBerry smartphones have finally shown a ray of life in a short video leaked on web today. Unlike many other videos running the launchers within current Android runtime, this demo has shown the working of touch sensitive keyboard gestures along with some screenshots that proves to be running full Android OS on a BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition.
Will BlackBerry Passport get Android OS? Not really! But it sure looks like BlackBerry engineers are working hard linking its hardware cores to Android software directing us to believe in rumors of the upcoming slider smartphone to be powered by Android OS. However, we also hear about a new Android framework on BlackBerry 10 OS and this could just be it. Nonetheless, this all remains in the pile of rumors and its better to wait for official statements before going wild.

You cannot tell me Android multi-tasking looks good when compared to BlackBerry10 multi-tasking. It’s just not as good. I can’t imagine going back to Android.
