Clearly, BlackBerry PRIV holds a tight competition in terms of hardware with others. And when it comes to software, PRIV runs the same Android OS (excluding iPhone) while the update of Android 6.0 Marshmellow is on its way. There’s no compromise on apps now, neither on security as BlackBerry states. The prices of all these phones are also identical with iPhone being the most expensive. BlackBerry and Sony Xperia Z5 wins the competition when it comes to battery size, memory storage and rear camera. However, Xperia Z5 wins by vast with its 4K display which actually runs on 1080p resolution unless you play a 4K video. On the other hand, BlackBerry features the most unique design with full physical qwerty keyboard slide-out & dual-curve screen similar to Galaxy Edge. Keep in mind, the keyboard is capacitive as seen on BlackBerry Passport which enables to navigate and flick predictive words as shown below. The phone has much more software features which are undefined yet.

This was a quick comparison of all leading high-end Android smartphones of 2015 and a waking call to you who think BlackBerry has overpriced the PRIV against its competitors. Refresh your mentality 😉

  1. Being there first android phone I think a little high priced. What if they don’t sell are they going to update to marshmallow. Or you drop $1000 on a phone you don’t even know will be supported in a year?

  2. Had to choose Leap because the keyboard keys are too small on PRIV. I am having a problem getting louder notice on rec’d messages…….suggestions plse. My Z10 was downloading something, and halfway through it fried. Is there a possibility of getting reimbursed for some of my costs for BlackBerry’s faulty equipment? Hopefully I didn’t make a mistake by choosing BlackBerry again!
