When BlackBerry makes something, the top two priorities they set are Security & Productivity. With the PRIV smartphone, these principles are carried to company’s latest offering with Google’s Android OS along with signature qwerty keyboard and certification of OS on device boot to make it secure. Until today, we haven’t seen much of PRIV’s modified Android software. Though BlackBerry hasn’t changed anything of stock Android in appearance (which is good) but has done a lot deeply to match its predecessors and set a unique experience overall against millions of other Android smartphones.
BlackBerry is known for its best Email experience. With introducing BlackBerry Hub to its own BlackBerry 10 OS earlier, which is a unified communication hub, is one of exclusives to the PRIV. BlackBerry Hub have almost every feature you will find in BlackBerry 10 module. However, BlackBerry makes it more gesture friendly by adding right and left swipe actions. Email composer have also been carried to Android which offers rich Emailing experience. The best-in-class virtual keyboard of BlackBerry 10 has been brought into action as well. BlackBerry also puts a ‘Productivity Edge’ access which lets you peek into your productivity apps by swiping from those edgy corners. Pretty much like Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge ideology but with a different concept on the whole.
There are tons of more features like keyboard shortcuts, picture password, slide to answer calls etc. and tweaks added to BlackBerry PRIV’s Android software to the core. To go in-depth, hit the link below to take a tutorial posted by Canadian carrier Telus.

In Android, I can type in my native Tamil language thanks to vernacular language support in Google play store.. is this possible in this mobile? Even though Google play store is in this, whether physical keyboard can make typing possible in local language?
Physical keyboard have language printed which can make it kind of impossible for typing tamil. However, 3rd virtual keyboard can help you type in your native while sliding keyboard can lead you with English.
