Soon after BlackBerry CEO John Chen hinted new products last week, here we might have our first look at the company’s second smartphone powered by Android. BlackBerry ‘Vienna’, a codename given for this iconic BlackBerry designed device, could be targeted at the typical BlackBerry users with that always present keyboard.
The phone looks pretty good with a decent sized vertical screen followed by 4-row keyboard. To make it more convenient, we have three hardware navigation keys bridging the screen with the physical keys. The overall design looks like a Passport Silver Edition in Leap’s hardware with Classic’s keyboard sporting the PRIV’s touch capacitive technology.
However, it’s way too early to call this a finalized product but being a QWERTY lover myself, I’m pretty excited to see these renders. This could be the next generation BlackBerry Curve/Bold series smartphone with best of both worlds. Are you looking forward to Vienna? Share your thoughts in comments below.
