Optiemus to launch Two BlackBerry Phones in India this quarter

The year 2018 seems to be a pretty interesting year for BlackBerry fans in India. Hardip Singh, Executive Director at Optiemus, says the company will bring not just one but two BlackBerry smartphones in market this quarter. From the recent leaks, we won’t be surprised the Ghost and Ghost Pro being the two devices.

If you are a physical keyboard fan, you might be treated with the upcoming Athena as Optiemus promises to bring more models to the store this year later on. “We are going to come out with a whole range of models starting with two this quarter. And during the year, we have more models planned out in the coming quarters. We have a strong pipeline of models which we will be bringing in and they will be at various price points.”, says Singh.

Though we don’t have any official info on these two devices yet, but people at Techradar believes the price range of them to be around 40,000. “The cheapest Mercedes will still sell for Rs 25 lakhs and not at the price of a Maruti. Similarly, you can’t expect a Blackberry to come at a really cheap price, because there are some basic things we need to do to make a BlackBerry into a BlackBerry.”, a bold statement from Singh when asked about the prices of Optiemus’ produced BlackBerry phones.
